After School Care at Woodstock School is provided by the Hamilton YMCA who run the OSCAR (Out of School Care and Recreation) programme in our school hall. Below is a brief outline of information regarding after school care.

Daily Routine
Aftercare is a semi-structured session with a variety of passive and energetic activities for children to do.
- Children arrive and will be signed in
- Children are given afternoon tea and a drink. (If your child has any special requirements please make sure staff are aware of these on the enrolment form)
- Group discussions on the rules, guidelines and emergency procedures.
- Children informed of the day’s activities that may include homework time, indoor activities, sports, outdoor games, craft activities and more.
- Children have the opportunity to rotate around the activities periodically but are encouraged to complete an activity before moving to another.
- Children return to the hall to be signed out by the parent, caregiver or designated collection person when they arrive. Under no circumstances will a child be able to sign themselves out.
Hours of Care
Monday – Friday 2.45 – 6pm.
Fees
$5.00 per hour.
Or
$1.25 per ¼ hour (you will be charged to the nearest ¼ hour).
Late Collection fee of $15.00 per 15 minutes after advertised closing time
Full fee for booked time will be charged if no notification of absence has been given before 9.00am on the day. (Not applicable for WINZ subsidy enrolments).
