Woodstock School celebrated Samoan Language week, 31st May-4th June. Students were involved in the Samoan culture and language throughout the week - they sang the Samoan national anthem and raised the national Samoan flag. They were involved in language based activities, art, song and dance. At Friday's assembly many students came to school in Samoan dress and the hall was decorated with the lavalava prints each class had designed and painted. Celebrating Samoan language week came about, thanks to a group of school parents who planned the activities and created the resources. Thanks to those fantastic parents - Soteria Ieremia, Wander Ieremia-Allan, Sala Taula and Marina McMahon-Ieremia.
