Swimming Sports
On Friday the 19th of March the Senior School (Years 4 – 6) had a fantastic Swimming Sports event at Municipal Pools, Victoria Street. The day was filled with lots of positive spirit and excitement for all involved. The House chants cheered out by all children were magic and really added to the wonderful occasion. It began with the non-competitive swimming events in which children swam a width of the pool, in Freestyle, Flutterboard and Dog paddle. All children who competed in these events swam with plenty of enthusiasm and the desire to do their best. Ka pai!
Once the lane ropes were in place we started the competitive events which were Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke. There was some very strong swimming produced by our competitive swimmers and some closely fought battles that were intriguing to watch.
All the children must be congratulated on making our Swimming Sports an unforgettable and grand event. A massive thank you must go out to all the teachers and parents who all worked together to ensure that the day ran smoothly.
